What applies when installing the thumb throttle.
It varies which thumb throttle that fit on the bikes and it is not enough to buy only one thumb throttle, but you must also map the controller for it to work. When adding the throttle the bike begins to be classified as another vehicle (class 1/2 moped) which means that it must be used in a fenced area. Another option is to registered as a moped and requires a driver’s license, tractor license or driver’s license for a Class II moped to be used if it is to be used outside the fenced areas. The bicycle must also have traffic insurance.

Note that Wafabike’s warranty for the bicycle do not apply when installing the thumb gas because it is no longer classified as an electric bicycle.
